The hops just don’t come through as well in the flavor, though. Not bad, but really more of an American Pale Ale. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2006 Pour is hazy nice deep golden amber with a thin dense tan head...smell is smell is citrus and piney...taste is slightly hoppy, but rather bland...sweet malty undertones with a slight hop bitterness toward the finish...good still, just not overhopped...I’m surprised since this is from the West Coast... | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Updated: Feb 16, 2007Decent IPA, tastes more like an APA than a IPA. Pours a cloudy amber color. Citrus/hop aroma. Flavor like any other pale ale, citrus, and hops with a little bit of orange. Not very strong for an IPA. Smooth, refreshing, and pretty easy to drink. Nice for a hot summer day. KingPinHead (390), Des Moines, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2006 Peachy gold hue with an off-white head that dissipated fairly quickly but left thin foamy fingers on the glass. Hint of citrus in the hoppy but relatively mild nose. Malt provides some floor on both the flavor and body profiles, but not quite enough to help out the hops, which hit with shotgun quickness but don’t really fill the palate with flavor. The body is relatively light in countenance than many IPA’s, which along with its bright flavor, makes this an attractive selection on a warm day, but not a contender for top honors amongst the many IPA offerings out there today. jhwarfield (123), USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Poured a clear gold color with a medium fairly white head. Citrusy hop aroma of maslty notes underneath and some light pine. Nice mix of malt and hop in the flavor. Moderate bitterness in the fiinish. Semi-dry with a medium body. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Remeber goldenrod paper from grade school? Well this kind of looked like a washed out version of that. Medium to large sized initial head with more of a coatign later. Aroma is some flowery citrus liek hops that carry into a mostly pine resin flavour. Bit’o’sweet malts are barely perceptable above the hops. Over all this is quite good tasting and something that would make a good session style IPA. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2006 almost clear light golden with a medium off white heas. Aroma is citrusy and piney. Taste is very pretty hoppy, with citrus/pine standing out much like the double, but with a rather thin body, and some biscuity and lightly sweet malt character. Finish is dry and bitter.
