Smells like the bitter rind of an orange. I love it. Nice lacing. Tasted of bitter delicious hops and malt. Real easy on the palate for someone who is interested in hops. I can’t wait to have another. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Substantial hops on the nose -- bright fruit (grapefruit, nectarine), some faint yeast spiciness. Cloudy gold-orange hues, and some lacing. Taste is heavy of the hops, but they behave well without much bite. Short palate for an IPA, this beer leaves a dry contrail in the mouth. Not particularly full or heavy mouthfeel. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy deep gold color with a minimal head. Some lace. Aroma is pine, citrus, grapefruit and some mint. Pretty much not malt backbone for either the aroma or flavor. Flavor is dominated by a dry tasting hop tea which is very boring. Lots of bine and some mint in the end. Finishes almost bone dry and somewhat tart. I actually like a lot of IPA’s that are way overbalanced by hops but this sure as hell wasnt one of them. Farily light amber, bordering on gold. Another West Coast IPA that doesn’t heap on the crystal malts to fatten up the body. I kinda like that.
