On tap at the Blind Tiger at their Kuhnhenn event. Pours a clear light orange amber with a thin to medium white head. Nice bitterness that starts right up front. Medium bodied, light sweetness, well balanced. Finishes up with a light bitterness. Well done.

Pours a light orange gold with foamy white head which stays for awhile. Hoppy aroma very floral. Good bite and finish. Very drinkable ipa, not syrupy.

A slightly hazy amber color with a white frothy head that dissipates. Aroma is all citrus hops, a hint of sweetness. Flavor is mostly bready and caramel malt with some hop flavor and bitterness, but should be more for an IPA. A bit watery in the mouthfeel. I had this after an uphill bike ride, and I’m still not terribly refreshed. What does that tell you?

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear light golden amber color with a thin head. Average head retention and lacing. Sweet caramel aroma with light citrus and earthy hops. Taste is earthy and herbal hops with light citrus and resin notes as well as some nutty notes. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly sticky.

Appearance: Hazy yellow colour with a pillowy head. The carbonation is quite lively. Aroma: Floral hops, with a fruity notes of grapefruit, and a heavy citrus. Taste: Crisp and refreshing. Dry, bitter, floral hops with mild citric undertones. The malts provide a light sweetness in the middle. The finish is big on the bitterness. Mouthfeel: The feel lively and dry. Drinkability: I am gradually beginning to appreciate a good American IPA, in the past they have been too bitter for me but it seem that the bitterness is something that i"m starting to crave. This beer is one of the best yet. It’s bitter but also manages to maintain an overall lightness. If I can get my hands on this again I definitely be buying it.

Tap at Rattle n Hum: Slightly hazy golden with a strong white film of head. Sweetish cookie malt aroma meshes with some zesty centennial hops- reminiscent of lemon cookie. Creamy body with a flavor exhibiting apparent cookieish character of caramelized pale malts. There’s a light lemony hop presence. Moderately bitter. A simple creamy IPA.

Bottled. This is my first tasting from Speakeasy Brewery.. interesting labeling. Pour is clear light amber with 1 finger white head. Excellently laced. Nose is floral and citrus. Taste is bitter, with citrus (Grapefruit) and bitter sap notes. Brightly carbonated and very compliant. Body is Medium to Medium/Light. Good overall, looking forward to trying more from these guys.

Tap at Ginger Man. Pours golden, somewhat transparent, with fizzy white head. Lots of citrus hops in the nose with a bit of pine. Flavor matches the aroma. Slightly sweet with a subdued hoppy bitterness. This is well-balanced, not really an in-your-face IPA. I like.
