Nice, average hoppy aroma with malty caramel for balance. Hops go grassy and flowery in the taste. Unfortunately it isn’t a huge flavor, and the finish gets a bit too dry. Otherwise, its an average IPA. joshpiledean (227), Ames, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2005 Fairly light golden pour, lots of carbonation, small long lasting head. Intense flowery hop aroma, very clean. Sweet malts, sugary up front, then nice bittering hops. Dry, nearly astringent finish. Good IPA, a bit dull, but very easy to drink and quite refreshing, indeed. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 20, 2005 Bottle...Pale straw color with a medium fizzy white head. Pour is somewhat cloudy. Flowery aroma, reminds me of some old lady’s cheap perfume. Soapy aroma also. Sweetish start, hops come into their own in the middle, not overpowering. Bittering to finish, light texture on the tongue, kinda watery even. Certainly not spectacular, I like to find a little fruitiness maybe, all this has is grapefruit. Easy to drink, but kind of boring. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 16, 2005 Major Thanks to DocLock for the recent MEGA trade!
I’m feeling a bit lonely on this rating. There are all these raves and now I’m about to tell you that, Yeah… it’s a very nice beer, but it truly didn’t get me all bonered up! Pours a hazy copper body and tons of lacing. The aroma and flavor bring big malty notes, very grainy, rye and toasted wheat. There is also a zesty sugared note of grapefruit and caramel, with a hint of pine chips. It is a very nice beer… but I’m just not feeling any mind blowing charm.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2005 Bottle. Thanks to jeffc666 for this! Pours amber with a small white head. Nose is hoppy and piney with some light malt notes and faint sweetness. Taste is very hoppy with some soapy notes, light maple syrup, pine needles, and light maltiness. Body is very dry and moderately carbonated. Some bitter notes and mild astringecy. Finishes with more big hops and pine with creamy malts, light sweetness and light fruitiness. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 12, 2005 Good IPA, this is. A large head, it poured with. Magnificent aroma, this has... I found myself speaking like Yoda after drinking one of these. The only IPA I’ve had that I liked more was Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Speakeasy has created the finest $7.99/6pk. IPA in the world with this. Kudos to Speakeasy. DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA

Smells hoppy and a little citrus. KInd of dry and thing but refreshing. sharp hop taste that subsides to a semi-sweet taste. Real nice beer. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Bottle. Nice amber color with a quick fading white head. Nice lacing. Floral and citrus hops in aroma. Fair malt balance to the piney hop bitterness. A bit drying. Just a touch watery. Not a bad IPA.
