Bottle that Craig picked up at Bellingers Jet Garage, Grove near Wantage, Oxon 12-08-09 Pours warm gold with white head. Nice tasty stuff with some honey and orange combining in the mouth, nicely fruity but with good hoppiness showing, only criticism is that it carries a wee bit too much sweetness. Spotted this bottle at the Salt House in Galway, and being that it was the only American brew they offered I had to try it. Pours hazy orange with small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is citrus hops and fruit. Taste is great, refreshing with flavor of citrus hop.

Bottle at the legend of chriso’s pre GBBF09 tasting. Alround rating: Good balance of caramal and biscuity pale dryness, citrusy solid hops. Great stuff.

Bottle, 330ml. Pours clear golden, with decent white head, which endures. Citrus and pine on the nose, and sweet hops on the tongue, with customary bitterness in the tail. Although quite decent overall, something lacks, perhaps too light in body.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with planty hops and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is balanced towards malt for the style, quite drinkable, but not outstanding and not for the hopheads.

On tap. Rocky white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma is sweet and biscuity and honey and floral hops. Taste is nearly wheat like bready malt, light citrus and floral hops. Light bubbles well attenuated...

12oz bottle. Crystal clear gold with a beige accent and almost copper hue. Thick lasting head, despite a very soft mouthfeel. This is a weird looking beer, but also nails some good points. Some dough, sweet malt, spicy and floral hops and grapefruit in the aroma. Note huge in the aroma, pleasant enough. Mellow for an IPA in the flavor, with soft bitterness and moderately sweet pale malt flavors. There is some minty green hop flavor with light citrus as well. Soft mouthfeel with a viscous texture. Good flavors, but the balance is just a bit too mellow and sweet for me to really like it.

Location: Not the first time I’ve tried it, but my rating is from a 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 7/27/09

Aroma: Citrus (grapefruit) dominate the aroma, pine, lemon, bit of caramel
Appearance: Clear yellow-orange color with a fizzy white head
Flavor: Tasty and hoppy, nice maltiness for balance
Palate: Medium body, fizzy, nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Had an old rating that gave this an 8/10 overall rating. It’s definitely a decent brew, and that rating was about right, I’ll go a little more in depth with my overall rating, but this is how I feel about this beer for sure.
