Had on draft. Appearance was amber, but the bar I had it in was kind of dark so it may have been a little lighter. Citrus fruits and earty hops were in the aroma. The earthy hops were present up front in the taste, followed by the citrus hops in the finish. Decent IPA.

Dec 13, 2009 RnH: cask: all the makings of a solid IPA no doubt... very skunky, aromatic bitters, some light florals and citrus available on the nose. Pours a rich amber, no head from cask. One thing I realized here... IPA’s need carbonation to help carry the flavor...coming from cask I felt as if the true qualities of the brew were held back slightly?! Nonetheless very solid, sessionable brew.

Dec 11, 2009 Golden color, really light for IPA, with frothy head that leaves some lacing. Sugary, caramelly, hoppy that’s all in the smell. Fruity, kind of burnt taste. Pretty heavy hoppage, but no hop lingering. Little bitter. Pretty good methinks, nothing to complain about.

Dec 7, 2009 On tap at the Brass Rail, PA. Poured a yellow gold with white foam head and some light lacing. Flavorful hop aroma, fresh and clear. Full bodied hops with sweet citrus notes and a bit of grain dryness. Crisp, fresh and great on tap.

Dec 5, 2009 Label drawing is a little weird. Pretty dark gold pour, Slightly pissy aroma of hops and honey. This is a fairly lagerlike IPA, mildly bitter and not too aromatic. Fizzy on the palate. An average brew, and not an impressive IPA. I see this gets pretty good ratings, so maybe the bottle I had was not fresh.

Nov 25, 2009 On tap at Cambridge Common, Cambridge MA, October 2009. Murky straw colour. Big hops throughout. Lots of grapefruit and orange zest. Some pine. Fairly dry with a lingering, but not overpowering, bitterness. Tasty stuff.

Nov 10, 2009 Bottle pours bright golden with a white head and a big citrus hop aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, and citrus hops, with a nice bitter finish.

Nov 9, 2009 12oz bottle from Cloverleaf in Royal Oak. Pours hazy golden orange with white head. Aroma is hops, sweet malt, citrus and some peaches. Flavor is sweet malt, orange citrus, caramel and some mild hops. A little light on the hops for a west coast IPA. Drinkable but nothing great.
