Brown 12oz bottle, poured into a Harpoon IPA 20oz glass. No freshness date. Appearance: Orange-yellow, with a thin white head that stays and grips the glass, a little spotty lacing. Mostly clear. Nose: Sweet hop candy, a lot of orange, something like toffee candy, ozone (fresh smelling), fresh cut sapling. Palate: Moderate to light carbonation. Prickly alcohol, some sweetness, and a medium to light body (for the style) that gets watery on the finish. Flavors are rather thin, with tree bark joining the aromas above. Finish is rather short and really bitter, but without the usual accompanying hop flavors, and too much alcohol. Notes: Not one of my favorites. I feel like it’s a little too simple on the palate and the body wavers, going watery right before the finish. There’s a lot of bitterness here, but not a lot of hop character. Leaves some things to be desired.

This bottle has been in the cellar for quite some time 2 years im guessing...slightly cloudy copper body with a skimming of a beige head...pungent malt aromas with grapefruit and orange...it smells wonderful...I even get a tinge of caramel in the whiff...flavor is similar to aroma with an added sweetness...grapefruit finish...its just right palate wise...speckled dotted lacing...a little watery in the near finish, but the aging may have affected it

Big piney IPA with a nice citrus backing as well. Malt is mild but is definitely there. Nice orange pour as well with a sizable pearl white head. Not bad at all.

A lovely double IPA. Aroma of walking through a pine forest. Big and spicy with some sour grapefruit notes. Appearance is orange with a frothy white head that lingers for a while. Flavor is strongly grapefruit with thick brown sugar sweetness to balance out the harsh bitter finish. Very tasty!

Light amber-orange with an inch of pure white head that fades to half an inch rather quickly. Nice lacing and sticking along the edges. A nice oily grapefruit nose with a very large bitterness that seems to linger a bit. Tastes very similar to the Big Daddy IPA but with more citrus hop character. This beer has an unexpected maltiness that makes it feel fuller than it really is. Very drinkable but for a DIPA it’s mediocre. It’s not an awesome DIPA. It’s ok. That’s it. pick it up one, try it and well....that’s it...

On tap. Orange color with one finger hed. Very bitter with apparent maltiness. Overall a very nice blend of hops and malts and a strong DIPA offering.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a small fizzy white head. Nice clean citrusy and piney hop nose with just a little crystal malt. Very high bitterness level with some nice grapefruit citrus notes. The malt isn’t really my bag though, it has that stale iced tea quality that I just don’t care for. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a fairly sturdy heavy feel. Moderate fine fizzy carbonation. Overall, this was just one of those beers that I really didn’t care for all that much. Not that it’s bad especially, just not my thing.
