Thick amber with okay head and no real lacing. Smell is pretty good - malty and some hops but not fabulous. Flavor is more alcohol malt than hops. A bit soapy and gritty. Not much depth to it. Alcohol is more present in the flavor than I wanted. Finish is malty and alcohol. There is a hint of burning dirt; it has an earthiness to it.

wicked orange pour, nice frothy thick soapy head. Typical DIPA aroma, loads of grapefruit, and citrus, with some soapy pine resin. Flavour is just bursting with pine and citrus. Man i love hops! not the most balanced DIPA, but soooooo tasty if you love hops.

Apr 8, 2008 Bottled. Poured brilliant orangey-golden with a short, sticky cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up a juicy blend of caramel and grapefruit with grainy pine undertones.. warmth brought out a bit of floral.. sweet overall and very well composed. The flavor had sweet tangerines and grapefruit on a caramel backing.. pine and citrus bitterness all around, and slightly abrasive on the finish.. could’ve used a bit more malt on the backbone.. grainy, warm, sweet finish. Heavier-bodied with lower carbonation on the palate.. grainy and strong on the back-end.. a little rough around the edges, but a nice drink overall.

Apr 7, 2008 Poker fiend so right out of the gate...LOVE IT. Pours an intense golden hue with minimal cotton head. The aroma is strong grapefruit and not a whole lot of anything else. Flavor is also fairly one-dimensional. Hops, hops, hops...pine and citrus. This is missing the underlying sweetness for balance. Still a descent option when the boys are over and the stakes are high!!!

Apr 4, 2008 Bottle at Thrash Zone, Yokohama. Hazy golden with a small head. Complex pineapple and green apples aroma. Potent pineapple flavour with added raisins. Great.

Apr 3, 2008 Poured a dark gold with a medium off white head. Grapefruity hop aroma with a strong hoppy flavour and a dry finish. Some caramelish malt sweetness helps temper the flavour. Nice quality DIPA.

Apr 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours an amber/orange color, with minimal head. I’m a big fan of Imperial IPA’s, and this one "hits a home run". Very hoppy, with a full-bodied mouthfeel. Hints of citrus and pine.
