Bottle... Poured a honey color with a really thin white head. Woodsy hops for an aroma. Flavors of grainy hops, and a sweet, caramel, acidic base. The finish has a little bit of an alcohol presence which makes me wonder if it was aged a certain way.

On tap at Toronado in San Francisco. Murky dark orange-amber with 2-fingers of creamy off-white head that clings to the glass. Very potent aroma of resinous hops, grapefruit, and alcohol. Heavy mouthfeel, sweet and hugely hoppy with quite an alcoholic kick. This was a little too much after about half a glass-- the alcohol needs to be better integrated, as it came off as being a little harsh for me.

Bottle. Aroma of grapefrut, some pine and caramel malt. Taste the floral and citrus hops upfront, but those are quickly followed by some bittering hops and alcohol. A little too much bitterness for my taste.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark straw color. Aroma of grapefruit and caramal malt. Flavor is similiar with a oily mouthfeel. Nice bitterness and the alcohol is slightly noticeable. I really enjoyed this 2IPA.

Pours a light golden color with no head. Smell is skunky, powerful hops. Taste is a bit thin, but with good hop bite and astringency. Mouthfeel is a bit light and a tad bit cloying. Decent brew, but there are a lot better.

Has this on draught a while back and it was a complete 180 from the bottle I drank way back. This is really the kind of IIPA I like. Hop dominated aroma. Sweatsocks, grapefruit, and pine. Flavor is piney and fresh with grapefruit and some fruit punch. Definitley more hoppy than malty. First rating: This was probably one of my least favorite IIPA’s. Had a nice balanced hop and malt aroma. Poured a copperish brown. Flavor was mostly sweet malt a little hops peak in, but is definitley dominated by the sweetness. Very heavy. Residual sugars and some dry hoppiness linger. I can appreciate that this is a nice beer, but it was too sweet for my liking.

Cloudy light amber color. The aroma is initially very fruity, then it becomes more sweaty, and mature. Good body, malt and toffee flavor, with respectable sweetness; strong bitterness, with good fruity touch (bitter oranges and dried pineapple). Powerful,

Hazy copper color; thin head. The aroma is good and hoppy (resins and light fruits), but it gets lighter quickly. The mouthfeel is not too thick, some malt flavor, bold bitterness, quite good but not exceptional (not enough malt, sweetness, fruitness…).

Clear bright amber color with nice foamy off white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, carmel and malt. Flavors arethe same as the aroma, no surprises here. Maltiness gives it a very full mouthfeel. Sweet and highly drinkable, I suspect this would creap up on you when you least expect it. As it warmed, slightly more bitter notes in the hops were present but still quite plesant. I’d definitely go there again!
