12oz bottle from grape & gourmet. pours a clear gold, with a half inch, off-white head, and solid lacing. aroma is very nice with big, soapy and piney hops, orange citrus, light floral perfume esters, and a touch of sweet honey. flavor falls off a bit from the aroma but is still solid with big, abrasive, and slightly medicinal citrus hop notes, pine resin, and mild peach notes backed by sweet toffee malts leading to a bitter, piney finish. palate is medium bodied with solid carbonation and potent alcohol warmth. overall, a solid DIPA.

big and hoppy, bold and rather delicious.  Mellow and soothing. Slightly better than regular dadd

Citrusy lemony aromas. Mid palate is more citrusy hop flavors. It’s pretty good. Nice malt backbone.

courtesy of fiulijn - hazy dark orange colour with a poor head retention; aroma of quince marmalade, almonds and some madeirisation ; slightly oily and full-bodied; some initial sweetness soon followed by a solid bitterness; dry honeyish and almondy bitter finish with a strong alcohol presence

Bottle, 33cl. Pours translucent marmalade, with decent head, and some lacing. Pleasant on the nose of sweetness and light things. Perfumed citrus and pine on the palate, with customary hoppy suffusion. Very decent double IPA.

Pours orange with a disappearing orange head. It has a malty aroma of syrup, toffee, caramel, and peach. Big toffee flavors with sweet peaches. Not too thick. A malty example of the style, just like the daddy.

Bottle from The Foodery, 10th Street Philadelphia. Wasn’t paying attention, poured the whole bottle so a bit cloudy. Thick, long-lasting head. Strong floral soapy hoppy aroma. Nice palate, good bitterness, actually quite pleasant aftertaste which is rare, but like Stone or especially Rush River Double Bubble, balance between hops and malt is not right. Bit medicinal. As a hopehead II still like this beer quite a bit - but it’s not endangering my favorites in the genre.
