(Bottled) Slightly hazy golden color with a smallish, foamy head. Very lemony-grassy-hoppy, barley-wineous aroma with a Belgian strong ale feel. Grainy-malty, nicely grassy-hoppy flavor. Hides the ABV completely, very easy to drink. Medium to full-bodied, slicky and slightly astringent palate with quite low carbonation. A very enjoyable and balanced double IPA. Not extremely hoppy for the style, but balance is the key here.

12-oz bottle courtesy of Naven. Pours bronze, gold with a small white head that goes edgy. Aroma is fruity hops, malt (meal, straw), yeast (mold) and grassy, sour notes. Not near as aromatic as other Imperial IPAs I have had. Moderately bitter, medium acidity, creamy, buttery bready malt flavor, dry finish, slight indication of alcohol presence. Full bodied, warm, slightly dry palate but yet creamy overall.

I have had this in 12 oz bottles, as well as on tap at the Toronado: Both times, I have enjoyed this beer, but was not overwhelmed. Despite the name, and all the warnings on the label, this one is not as hoppy as one would think. I guess thats where my disappointment lies. It’s like getting into a fight with the biggest bully in school.......you’re crapping your pants.....only to find out he’s a big ol pansy. Not bad, just a little off.

12-ounce bottle. Pours perfect amber with a thin white duke of a head that doesn’t hang around. Huge but not colossal straw, floral, citric, and sharp acidy notes on the nose. Perfect medium body with good suds and backbone. The malt here is really just Jack Sprat under a Mrs. Sprat of hops. There’s some firmness to the profile, but just a hint of sweetness here, and that probably exists only to echo the fruity sweet goodness of the citric hop finish. The citrus notes parachute in just ahead of a big sharp wave of bitterness to the finish. Just this side of sessionable, and an excellent food beer. Great, great IIPA.

Hazy amber body with almost no head. Aroma is fairly standard IIPA. Almost like a citrus pine tree at first. Lesser notes of grapefruit and caramel and also some vanilla. The flavor had all of this, but as it warmed I got more and more notes of vanilla. The hops reminded me a lot of Yulesmith. However, it did get overly sweet near the end. I wish it was more bitter. Still, this was very tasty. I got 3 more and look forward to drinking them. I liked this a lot more than a 3.7 but .. whatever.

This beer is like drinking IPA from a coated pill. Its got this strange (but good) insta aftertaste that reminds me of sugary coating on a tylenol.

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. A pale orange beer with a firm white foam. Dry aroma of grapefruit and crackers with a sticky sweet undertone of apricot. Bitter flavour of grapefruit and resin with sugary tones of candied oranges. Full bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Bitter orangey and grapefruity aftertaste.
