| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Light amber in color. Little head. Crystal clear. Amazing aroma of mango, guava, marischino cherries and American Hops, maybe Warrior or Horizon with some Centennial? Floral and fruity. Clean and candy like in flavor showcasing a fresh and delicate hop presence. This is 9.5%? I never would have guessed. Really nice ale. TomDecapolis (3176), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2006 Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a large fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma of pine, some citrus with a sweet malty balance. Flavors of the same...more bitter than I expected from a IIPA. Actually not a whole lot different than the Big Daddy IPA, just a higher ABV, which I didn’t detect much for being 9.5% droopy49 (97), Lancaster, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2006 12 oz bottle poured a golden/orange color. Thin, quickly diminishing white head with some lacing. Good hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Flavor was rather mild for a double IPA. Some hop bitterness with a good crisp aftertaste. Alciohol is well hidden. Seemed more like a regular IPA. roner77 (35), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2006 This beer keeps the aroma and flavors of the big daddy, but finally brings the punch. The added hops provide an added bite as well as a far more complex finish. Certainly not best imperial out there category, yet still a finely crafted beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2006 This double IPA pours a solid gold color with hardly any bubbles rising to the top. Head is a thick coat of foam across the snifter and has huge air bubbles that wont pop. Aroma is light and has the classic signature of west coast hops, grapefruit, pine and musk.. The drink is actually quite soft with mild flavor of hop and pine and background of metallic and a bitter finish. Not impressing, although, i wouldnt say it was a dull Imperial IPA.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Pretty good, not over the top IIPA. Good piney aroma that will open sinuses. Taste is full with alcolhol, grapefruit, and big time west coast hops. omhper (12229), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2006 Bottled. Hazy amber, small head. Grapefruity nose with notes of peach. Sweetish with bold, rounded mouthfeel. Aromawise it os rather restrained, but the bitterness is powerful.
