Source:12 oz bottle.
Glass:Hotel cup.
Appearance:Hazy gold/orange pour with a thin off white head.
Aroma:Citrus and pine with caramel malt notes.
Flavor:Caramel malt base with a resinous finish.
Palate:Medium/full body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Excellent IIPA. Not sure about the low ratings here, but I loved it.

Pours a clear orange with little head. Mostly sweet honey, caramel with a dry finish. Some citrus presence, but less than I expect from an IIPA. Seems like an old bottle, maybe. I’ll try it again.

Bottle. Thick and resinous, this is a proper double IPA. The aroma is thick with the essence of freshly baking, big mushy malt, rich and thick. It drinks almost like whiskey, with a sense that maybe this had been poured from an old moistened oak barrels. Good. (#3570, 6/30/2009)

Poured a bit of a hazy golden-copper color with average lacing. The aroma was lots of malts, lots of peppery spice and a touch of citrus. The flavor was malty and spicy without any citrus contrast. Some notes of floral and pine. Good mouthfeel. Kind of boring and off-balance.

Clear orange color with little head. Muted hop aroma and a somewhat thin bittery taste. Felt like this needed more of a malt backing or perhaps a different blend of hops.

Bottle @ Yard House in Palm Springs. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy golden color. Aroma of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, fruit, citrus. Over the palate came caramel, toasted malt and again strong hoppy notes. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated to heavy bitter and sweet flavor. Lingering bitter dry pineapple like finish. Very drinkable for a DIPA.

Pours a copper/orange, completley opaque. Nice white head with good lacing. The aroma is strong with floral, citrus, a malt dominating. Taste is very well balanced, a good amount of hops but not overly bitter and a lot of malt. This is a pretty heavy IPA with a very thick mouthfeel, not really a session beer. The alcohol is masked well. Very tasty!

12 oz bottle, poured a nice golden amber with small off white head. Nose of malts, hops, pine and citrus; everything thats good, well balanced. Taste was similar, more on the sweet side than dry.
