Pours with a small, foamy, white head covering a clear, orange body. Aroma of grapefruit with lots of malts (biscut and chocolate). Taste is malty, but an easy to drink DIPA/IIPA. I would have enjoyed, a bit more sweetness, and a larger hop profile, but this is good for someone who is unfamiliar with lots of hops. Syrupy mouthfeel with light bubbles.

Jul 13, 2008 Bottle thanks to 1_2many. A magnificent, surprising flowery hop aroma...my favorite part of this beer. I enjoyed the aroma more than the actual flavor. The taste has a nice bitterness, with floral hops and a smooth finish. I pretty damn good IPA, better than I expected from this brewery.

Jul 12, 2008 Bottle and impressive for a random selection from Belmont’s. Floral hops aroma. Slightly sweet with an intense long bitterness. Smooth and drinkable. Nice Imp. India pale ale.

does not count  Jul 9, 2008 Very fruity, sweet aroma. I would (almost) be happy just smelling this beer. Cloudy, dark golden appearance. Hops are gentle on the tongue. A delicious beer!

Jul 4, 2008 12oz- Beautiful orange/yellow color, nice white head. Not a very big aroma to it, but nice all the same. Light hop flavor as it goes down, just ligering on the tongue for a minute or so. Finishes quite nicely.

Resinous and sandy (Simcoe?) hoppiness nearly smothers the honeyed biscuity malts in this flavorful and very clean Double IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A film of foam recedes to a ring over the clear bronzed golden.
-Alcohol is well concealed in the flavor profile; the intense hoppiness must help.
-An underlying lychee-like fruitiness adds complexity.
-The sandy, spicy hop finish is quite bitter and maybe a tad unrefined.
-The body is lean, not too round, which helps drinkability.
-The hops are also wooden and lightly citrusy.
-The overall flavor profile is maybe too clean for my tastes in the style.
