The flavor isn’t too heavy on the bourbon, which is nice. Roasted malt, coffee, and a smooth nutty/vanilla sweetness. It’s a sipper, but it’s a good one. Pwn3d (1123), Manhattan, New York, USA

Solid bourbon influence with oak, vanilla, coconut. Lightly bitter finish, nice and dry. marcus (1902), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2009 On tap at Toronado. This black beer poured with a thin beige head and an oak aromma. There is a carbonated slightly sour smoked malt flavor with a warm alcohol trail. This is a nice version of a porter which is very well-balanced. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA
