Commercial Description:
Our Imperial Red Ale is a malt-forward monster, weighing in at 9.5% abv. Brewed with a variety of specialty malts, including caramel, melanoidin and pale chocolate, and a heavy-handed application of the finest Pacific Northwest hops. “Balanced” on the edge, Mickey Finn is a riot of flavors that will knock you out.

Bright reddish amber. Thin head. Really nice aroma fruity and toasty. Floral and citrus hops. Lots of fruit lots of toast. Medium sweet orange notes, citrus floral hops. Drinks very nicely. Lots of hops, buit fruityness balances. Really damn good stuff.

Tap at Blue Palms. I would drink this to get hammered. Nose of alcohol and red malt. Color is quite good - bloody black. Flavor kinda burns with sharp grain, alcohol and maybe some dry hops. Big meh.

Very hoppy at first then it melts into a stout/chocolate type taste. It earns its strong ale style. This is a snifter and fireplace beer.

Tap at Pacific Standard: Deep brownish amber with a strong tan ring of head. Has a big toasted caramel bready crystal backbone in the aroma with a resiny/piny C-hop bouquet. Some mild grapefruit is there. Creamy body with long flavors. Both sweet and very bitter. A big sugary crystal malt base with toasted husky characteristics followed by lots of earthy resiny bitterness. The back is piny and spruce like with long lasting bitterness to make it drinkable. A well done and big American Strong Ale.

On tap at Brouwer’s. Pours a dark amber with a smallish head. Tons of hops in the nose, with a big malt counter. Flavor follows suit perfectly. This is a really nice brew - very hop forward, but with a dry, sweet aftertaste. Tons of flavor - citrus and resiny hops, with lots of classic caramel malts to send it the other way. Really, really tasty! Best yet from the brewery!
