Jun 24, 2009 Tap at City Beer. Just not very good. Nose is underwhelming and undescriptive, also featuring unmellowed alcohol. Taste is not driven by a thesis, and comes off sloppy: sour fruit, caramel, grain. Meh.

Jun 22, 2009 Draft at City Beer Store in SF. Dark brown in color with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and oaky barrel notes along with mild hops. Flavor more of the same, malty and a little oaky. Hops also present and the beer does not seem to have been aged very long. Decent stuff though. Medium-full with a smooth palate and fairly low carbonation.

Jun 16, 2009 Draft. Rich amber beer with a small cream colored head. Rich malt and oak aroma with a hint of background hops. Malt, vanilla, oak flavor with a light buttery backing. Medium-plus bodied. Buttery notes linger with malt, caramel, and oak.
