Bottle, wife grabbed it for me. Aroma is lightly floral. Pours a burgandy brown off white head. Flavor is floral and malt. Palate is sweet and medium bodied finishing just slightly bitter. Overall, nicely done.

(bottle - 12 oz) Ruby color with a creamy tan head. Sweet caramel malts at the beginning of the aroma with a light floral hop finish. Flavor is sweet and malty with hints of honey and caramel at the beginning with a bitter hop middle and a bitter and lingering hoppy finish. Alcohol is warming on the way down.

Bottle courtesy of mfielden. Pours a hazy dark amber color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, honey, floral hops, light honey and earthiness. Flavor is sweet and malty with similar notes of caramel, floral hops, light toffee and spice notes. Generally medium body with a light boozy finish.

Bottle. A nice looking pour; a dark amber color with a small, but persistent head. Aroma was a nice blend of caramel, earth, roasted malt, fruit, citrus and a good dose of pine at the tail end. Flavor was a bit thin and unrefined, almost watery. A lot of earthy and pine notes, with a bit of caramel and a lot of alcohol. This might have needed some more time. Probably one of the worst I have had in the style.

2006 vintage. Ruby-red color with a small head. Aroma is excellent, sweet candied malts, mmmm. The taste does not live up to the smell. The taste is some candy sweetness but nothing spectacular. The mouthfeel is too thin and prickly. Overall, this one was not a bad beer but it was not a great Barleywine. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-27-2007 16:38:42

The taste reminded me of Southern Tier Mokah without the chocolate/coffee notes and just or as hot as that brew given the high abv. My first Speakeasy and a pleasant one. It’s always dangerous for me when a high abv comes in a 6 pack.

I believe ’07 Vintage, it says Kiss the ring 002 on the back, if that means anything. Bottle. Cloudy dark copper with, medium creamy white off-white head. Aroma is slight cardboard, alc, raisin. rich dark fruits, very full in the aroma, nice. Flavor is sweet but balanced dark fruit, much less oxidation in the flavor as well with alc, a light amount of bitterness, some pine. Medium to full body, creamy, with a little heat. A little hot, but overall I think the flavor and the body are quite exceptional.
