There is a lot of sticky foam and lingering lace. Aroma is quite sweet and sticky initially. Nice fresh pine resin over some other herbal hop aromatics. Flavour has a nice soft biscuity maltiness and a lingering hoppy finish. Quite bitter with a lot of sticky pine and some earthy resinousness. It’s kind of simple but quite appealing nonetheless. j12601 (1298), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Pours a clear light brown. Dead still, no head. Smells like rubbing alcohol and plums. Flavor is all burnt malt and isopropyl. Terrible. larryLSB (156), La Selva Beach, California, USA

Subtle nose of sweet caramel, smooth taste with nice balance of hops and fruit. Very good finish that left a warmth in the mouth. SudsMcDuff (1692), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a receding off white head. Aroma is sweet candy, dark fruits and alcohol. Flavor is caramel, dark fruits ( dates and figs), with powerful hop background. Smooth, warm palate with a lingering burning finish. A sipper for sure. Very good. trevor211 (504), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2009 On tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver 09. Pours a crystal clear copper color, with a mostly malty nose, and a thick, dense, retentive head. Artificial fruits on the nose - seriously like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. Nice and hoppy, especially in the flavor, countered more with fruit than with malts or alcohol. Effervescent - really good stuff. I could certainly have a bigger glass of this.
