| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a receding off white head. Aroma is sweet candy, dark fruits and alcohol. Flavor is caramel, dark fruits ( dates and figs), with powerful hop background. Smooth, warm palate with a lingering burning finish. A sipper for sure. Very good. trevor211 (530), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2009 On tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver 09. Pours a crystal clear copper color, with a mostly malty nose, and a thick, dense, retentive head. Artificial fruits on the nose - seriously like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. Nice and hoppy, especially in the flavor, countered more with fruit than with malts or alcohol. Effervescent - really good stuff. I could certainly have a bigger glass of this. rmussman (906), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2009 A good brew. Very little head on it, but dark brown. A good barley wine, strong alcohol percentage. Taste of caramel and hops is strong and sweet. A good brew. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Bottle. Hazy amber color with a thin broken light tan head. Heavy malts, some alcohol, mild earthy hops, not a notable aroma. Taste is pretty hot up front, hoppier tasting than it smells, bitter finish. Decent taste, aroma is underwhelming. Rough around the edges. BeerandBlues2 (3237), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
