Aroma is a nice mixture of caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavor is likewise. Sticky mouthfeel. Not a whole lot to describe, but it’s a tasty and well-done hopped-up amber. illidurit (878), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2008 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Despite a healthy pour, there’s no more than a half finger of tan head atop this hazy rusty umber colored beer. Not much retention or lacing either. Aroma is of grapefruity hops and caramel malt. Taste starts out sweet and malty with an obvious caramel note that is quickly interrupted by sharp grapefruit hops. The finish is both maple syrupy and bitter from hops. Sticky mouthfeel, high carbonation. Easy to drink. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Pours a nice clear copper-amber color with a good foamy white head. Sweet aromas of spice and citrus and some definite hops. Good flavor, with some caramel and malt. Interesting. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Bottle, courtesy riversideAK. Pours a clear copper color. Wet lacing, and a nice frothy white head. Decent spotty lacing. Hoppy aromas. Very hoppy, in fact. Pine, honey, and some distant caramel. Soft honey flavor, with caramel, and some subdued malt flavor. Really hoppy. Not too balanced, and not very easy to drink; not a great sign for an amber at 6.1%. On its own though it’s good. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy red body with thin head. aroma is sweet malt, caramel, light hops. Flavor is malty, caramel and citrus hops with an odd metallic taste. Some vegatable. tronraner (1916), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy rust color with big off-white head. The aroma has distinct citric hops and pine resin, behind which there is some sweet caramel and light toast. The flavor is seriously toasty, combatting the citric hops and a fruity melon note. It finishes with a slightly piney, rather tannic wood note that lingers for just a second. Not what I was expecting... kind of a pleasant surprise, really.
