Aug 28, 2007 Courtesy of Skyview. Dark copper color with a large head. Sweet malt and slightly oaky aroma. Dry caramel body with a lot of floral hops. Simple but good.

Aug 25, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Pours a brownish amber brew with an average low profile off white head that quickly dissolves to a film and off-whtie ring. Aroma has a good balance of malt and bitter citrus scents with a touch of mango. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, a slightly bitter character with flavors of citrusy grapefruit and caramel malt. Finish is dry, mildly bitter with an iced tea aftertaste. This amber ale has almost an IPA character.

Aug 22, 2007 Bottle: Pours a very dark amber with a small head (at least how I poured it). Slightly bitter aroma and flavor. Nice palate for an amber. Another nice beer from the folks at Speakeasy.

Aug 18, 2007 On Tap Hamiltons. Perfectly balanced Amber ale. Clean burnt copper color, nice head retention light spiced malt and clean/dry finish. Well crafted brew and perfect year round.

Aug 16, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep, clear copper with medium khaki head with some lacing. Nicely hoppy aroma prickly piney hops, passionfruit and a fullness in the aroma that I didn’t expect. Flavor has thick roasted malt upfront and just a touch of citrus hop bitterness and sticky resiny mouthfeel in the finish. Really good session beer.

Aug 7, 2007 8/5/07 From the bottle. Aroma is grassy and citrus hops balanced by slightly bready malt. Malt sweetness appears after being opened for a time. Appearance is dark copper with a persistent off-white head. Flavor is citrusy hop forward with light sweet malt and faint caramel. Flavors are fairly seamless and come across as one very long, complex flavor. Bittering is medium/high. Body is medium, carb texture is medium/high and finish is very dry. Overall, a well made, high hoppy amber. Comparable more to some IPAs than most popular ambers, this is a heck of a strong flavored amber that still begs to ’have another.’
