This particular brew has a clear dark golden color with a nice thick white head. Aroma is mainly of sweeter malts and hops with some floral accents in the back end. Taste Is of malts, hops, caramel, and a little bit of floral in the undertones. Has a nice and fresh hoppy aftertaste. A pretty descent brew.

From bottle thanks to JoeMchpee. Malt, hop aroma. Great amber colour with a decent lace clinging to the glass. Nutty flavour. Nice bitterness. Flavour of chestnuts, with a silky texture. Rich fruity after taste. Enjoyed this beer a lot.

Bottle at home with mes, ian, lucky ronnie and soem other party chaps. Alround rating: Biscuity pale and caramelt, lemon and orange, fruity, caramel dominates as you’d expect from an amber ale.

This is an overall very good ale. Speakeasy is a good brewery to visit in San Francisco. On Fridays one can get a free tour, free popcorn, and $3 (excellent) pints! Prohibition ale pours amber and delivers flavors of caramel, bread, and citrus. It’s toasted, light and satisfying. Overall a very nice ale. Be sure to check out the Big Daddy and the Double Daddy IPAs.

12 oz. Clear, darkish amber with a lasting quarter inch of sticky-creamy foam. Creamy caramel, earthy grain, peanut, resin and grapefruit aromas. Flavors of tea leaf and caramel, finished with a deep toasted pecan, citrus and light cocoa. Medium body is soft and smooth.
