A pleasant surprise amongst ambers. This was a bit more hopped than your traditional amber ale but not too much in that the expected malt would be diminished. This was a very good ale and could easily be a go-to on a hot summer’s day.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color. Aroma is pure fresh hops. Flavor is a superb balance of amber malts and fresh hops. This is an easy drinking, well balanced amber ale.

This beer is mostly malty with a spicy hop finish. The nose suggests a slight oxidation that overall is not that noticeable on the beers palate. This beer makes for a nice intro beer for those who are not keen to good beer.

Bottle: Rich copper color pour with a thick head and very good lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, taste is certainly hops a plenty. There is a big hop taste of citrus, floral, and pine, combined with a subtle sweetness. Lots of grapefruit sweet and bitters. Not like any other amber ale...

"Boldy hopped amber ale" seems accurate — so much so that this amber ale is similar to an American Pale Ale. Grapefruit and pine hop aroma along with floral hops and caramel. The sweet malts are quickly overtaken by the hops. Flavor of grapefruit and light caramel. Medium body. Slighty sticky. Medium finish. Good, but not the "perfect balance’ that’s advertised.

Serviceable but disappointing. Paid too much for it. Its particulars duly faded from the memory - never a good sign.

A boldly hopped amber, well, it was amber, good white head. Nose was hops and malts. The taste was roates with hop finish, slight dry bittering end. Good.
