An excellent amber ale - hoppy, balanced malt, and a wonderful "pure" beer taste. Just an excellent brew!

Prohibition pours a nice strong amber color with hints or dark orange. The aroma is of pine and caramel malt. Good balanced tastes with plenty of malt behind the a pretty hopped up amber ale.

Speakeasy Prohibition Ale 12 oz bottle Recent bottling, medium pour in an English pint glass. Poured orange red with a small beige frothy mostly diminishing head with traces of lacing. Smelt of strong caramel with light citrus. Taste was upfront moderate sweet caramel with light roasted and nutty highlights and light grassy bitter hops followed by a moderate citrusy hop kick on a light dry bready malt with a long bitter finish. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, oily, lively carbonated wit hlight astringency. Overall, an amber that flows nicely from rich caramel maltiness to bold citrusy hopiness. Finish is way too balanced towards hops though.

Bottle. Burnt copper color> Sweet, toasted malt aroma with a good hop aroma. Grassy and bitter with a good maly backing. Bready notes.

12oz. bottle. Clear copper color with a small off white head that left nice lacing. Pleasant aroma of citrus hops, biscuity malts and some pine. Flavor is a dull version of the aroma. Starts off mildly malty sweet with some caramel before turning slightly bitter with some grapefruit hops. Decent, easy drinking beer.

Pours a relatively clear copper/amber with dark orange highlights. Aroma is citrus, pine and caramel malts. Taste is the same with a slightly astringent finish. hop presence is resinous and earthy in this one, which is not a problem with me! nice beer.
