Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are crisp and hop forward w/ lime rind and a brisk bittered finish. Overall: not what I like in an amber although it’s a good brew. Low malt w/ big hops. More like a amber colored IPA. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

Aromas of sweet caramel malts and citrus hops. Has a good balance with a firm bitterness. Has a dry hoppy finish with the alcohol out of the picture. Dorwart (1821), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2006 Decent sized off-white head of fine bubbles. Decent carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma. Some roasted malts along with a bit of spruce. Dark brownish amber in color. Dry and pretty bitter flavor. Some roasted malts with a little grittiness. Bitterness a little on the harsh side. Finish is dry and bitter with a little sweetness and finishes up pretty clean. Decent but nothing special. Marsiblursi (1649), Göteborg, Sweden

Smells pine and citrus hops. Malty. Some vanilla. Tastes malt with pine hops. Pineapple. Like a classic american pale ale, but amber. Nothing special but good. Great bottle design. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA

Nice and hoppy aroma for an amber ale. Initial taste is of the citrus hops followed by a good malt balance. A little more caramel taste is present as it warms. The is an easy drinking beer, very crisp and clean finish. Light to medium body. Not your typical amber, but I like it.
