Nice and hoppy aroma for an amber ale. Initial taste is of the citrus hops followed by a good malt balance. A little more caramel taste is present as it warms. The is an easy drinking beer, very crisp and clean finish. Light to medium body. Not your typical amber, but I like it. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Nice amber color with a slight chill haze. Creamy light tan head that laces nicely. Gentle carbonation. Wonderful hop aroma that is making my mouth water! Hoppy with citris flavors at first followed by a good amount of malt to balance it. Finishes with a mild hop bitterness that leaves me wanting more! I would have mistaken this for a pale ale if I didn’t already know it was an amber ale.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 12, 2006 NIce aroma of citrusy hop with underlying malt. Beautiful copper/amber color with a light tan head. Starts with wonderful hops, mostly citrusy, followed by a thrust of malt, ending with very nice bitterness, possibly with some pine coming past the citrus. It’s all in the perception. There’s some sort of tobacco type spice? in the finish? Maybe it’s a bit of herbal note. There’s something there. Really very good. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 11, 2006 Hops throughout the aroma. No head. The haps are in this so much to the point that it makes you think of an APA more than an amber. And I’m not complaining. A little caramel in the finish. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2006 The head on this was pretty weak. I poured rather firmly and not much appeared, A little grapefruit hoppy and carmel malty aroma. The flavor was the same citrus flavor but not a whole lot of bitterness. Had a very light feeling in the mouth, and had the consistency of a glass of water. oh6gdx (9102), Vasa, Finland
