Dec 28, 2005 on tap at "Fly Bar" in San Francisco, CA. tastes a bit like a brown ale or Brooklyn Ale. pours a light watered-down ruddy-brown. little to no head. little carbonation. smells of citrus and carmel. tastes of pine hops, caramel malts, clementine (orange). subtle bitterness/hops throughout that kicks at the finish. full mouth-feel. solid and good.

Dec 27, 2005 Pours a bright amber color. Aromas of caramel, malt, and citrus. Flavor has a nice balanced taste, some caramel/toffee, and a nice hop finish.

Dec 26, 2005 West coast hops aroma and fine malt, deep amber, tiny cream head. Flavour is citrus hops, and great malt. Full bodied, really well balanced, great mouthfeel. Terrific! Thanks mds.

Dec 19, 2005 Bottle. Pours a hazy bubbly amber with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Nicely balanced aroma and flavour of mild hops and caramel malt. Quite carbonated and the body’s a tad thin. Although I like many of Speakeasy’s beers more (I prefer their hoppier beers) this is still really good, especially for an Amber, and makes for a great session Ale.

Dec 11, 2005 bottle. cloudy orange with a small white ring of head. aroma is nice - sweet orange hops and cereal. juicy hop orange-rind flavour and faint yeasty texture. superb bread and caramel malt balance. a very good quaffable ale.

Nov 28, 2005 Bottle. Very hoppy amber. Pours copper with some head which disappears quickly. Very nice citrus aroma. Although more hops than typical amber, still was worth it. Needs something to smooth out the bitterness however.

Nov 27, 2005 Bottle. Pours copper with a small white head. Nose is hoppy and piney with light citrus notes. Very sharp! Taste is a bit sweeter with a nice malt and hop balance comprised of caramel, sweet malts, piney hops, citrus fruits and light hint of menthol or mint. Body is smooth but bitter.Light carabonation feel. Finishes with more big piney hops and citrus (grapefruit and orange), with a mild caramel and malt balance. Not too bad!
