Hoppy aroma and hoppy flavor. Amber color to body and off white head that diminishes to a thin layer over top of beer. Lacing is great on the glass. Just glad someone didn’t prohibit me from getting one of these.

Amber gold, next to no head. Light sweet herbal nose. Herbal lemony flavor, toasted malt. Bitterness at the back of the tounge. Slight chocolate in the mostly herbal toasty finish.

Smells of spruce, pours red and frothy. Medium bitterness, a delight for a hophead like me. A fullbodied amber with lively carbonation and a long finish. A truly great ale.

Muddy amber color out of the bottle with a huge, rocky light beige head that left chunks of foam on the sides of the glass. The nose smells of sweet grains. Caramel sweetness from an abundance of malts, finishing with an almost vegetable green-ness. Decent beer that I bet would be better served with food.

Deep golden in color with a slight haze and a small white head. Aroma of toasted malt, earthy hops and oranges. Flavor is of bready malt, moderately bitter, with a mild sawdust character and botanical bitterness.

Bottled. Pours a lovely reddish/gold color. Aroma is somewhat hoppy and sweet. A little bit of fruitiness as well. Bitter hoppy flavor right up front. Followed by a malty flavor. Nice balance of malts and hops.

Almost clear copper with a yellowy beige head that becomes a textured film and leaves good lacing. Amazing aroma of american hops: pine, orange, grapefruit, bitter apricot, blueberry. Not a whole lot of toffee in the nose, but it comes through more and more with each sip, offsetting very well the piney / citrusy hops flavou. Some coffee notes. The only flaw in this beer was that it was just a tiny bit astringent at the very end. Medium to full body and medium carbonation. Excellent.

Orange-pine-grapefruit hop nose with strong tea-like tannins. Burnished copper coloured body with thin tan head that lasts nicely and leaves some lace. Very tannic flavour with subdued orange-pine hop flavour and fair to moderate bitterness is almost like a lightly bitter iced tea. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Bottle (trade Mar. 2005) enjoyed with asheft and Pitpit. Thanks, DocLock!
