For an amber ale its pretty good, amber colour with a medium head. Nose is somewhat malty and the taste is more coppery than anything else. Not bad. Ray1975 (251), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 15, 2005 Cloudy amber with a small white head. Very hoppy scent, consisting of grapefruit and peachlike aromas. Flavor is more of a pale ale than an amber... Grapefruit and other citrus, and finishes very fresh-orangelike. Very tasty! thefatmanrocks (22), California, USA

Some sweet malts, but mostly citrus hops in the aroma. Taste starts smooth, a bit earthy and dirty on the malts, medium caramel flavors, maybe some mild honey, and finishes with a medium hop finish. Its a good ale, i wish the hops were tamed a bit cause I like the malts in this one. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2005 Updated: Jan 10, 2005(12 oz bottle: Whole Foods in San Diego/Hillcrest, CA) I don’t know what to make of this beer. It’s very flavorful, no question about that, and it’s quite malty and moderately hoppy, but there’s something odd and funky about the flavor that’s actually a little unpleasant, I can’t put my finger on it. It’s bready and lightly roasty, balanced by a moderately bitter hops. Mild tea character. Fairly hoppy nose, but again, there’s something slightly unpleasant that I can’t identify. Amber in color and slightly hazy. Average size to the head, off-white in color, but maintaining a thin layer for the duration of the tasting. I want to try another bottle. TJackHole (72), USA
