Lovely caramel & citrus aroma. Interesting mouthfeel that almost over-rides the flavors - tongue coating, dry, maybe over-carbonated. Still very enjoyable. There’s a lot of "there" there to explore.

Pours a bright and deep reddish amber color, medium off-white head and lacing. Earthy aroma, some plums, difficult to place. Medium body, a mix a caramel and dark bread. Spicy, in a hops kinda way but also like earl gray tea (bergamot). I liked the earthiness here and the lingering bitterness. Agressive in a refined way.

A brown/amber ale that at first noses as being quite balanced with American style malt and hops. Any caramel sweetness that there is is covered by the lemony hops quickly. This is not a hoppy ale or pale ale by any means, however, the scales tip to the hops. Great alone around 55-60 degrees or Ice Cold for a great football beer. Slightly complex and a great addition to the ale market.

Very nice hoppy aroma, earthy & malty. Nice amber body, with a well lasting 1/4 inch off white head. Pretty tasty, well hopped for an amber, but maintains a good flavor. Sweetness comes through in the end. Good session beer.

Deep, faintly ruby, amber. Strong citrus nose, which carries over as lemons on the palate. Small sticky beige head. Spritzy, clean, touch of black tea, sweet herbal hops, well balanced caramel malts. Subtly bitter, and quite quaffable. Now its available in MA!

Pours with a two-finger bubbly white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Medium carbonation. The brewer says: "perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping" well, the aggressive hopping dominates any caramel maltiness, there is a little sweetness in the background but not much. $2.25 for a 12oz bottle from Vintage Cellar, Blacksburg, VA.

I found this beer to be quite excellent. Reminiscent of Arrogant Bastard Ale. Rich caramel malt flavor with a nice drying sensation from the hops. Well balanced and complex.
