Aroma: Caramel, citrus, orange
Appearance: Reddish-brown color, about an inch of white head
Flavor: Similar to the nose, has some of each: malty sweetness and hop bitterness
Palate: Nice mouthfeel, medium body
Overall Impression:
I hadn’t seen this beer in a few years, so when I saw it, I picked up a bottle at Norm’s. This is a pretty nice Amber, has some interesting hops to it, more then your normal amber, so that’s nice. I found this to be a pretty good brew, that I really enjoyed.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2009 It has a clean hops aroma for an amber ale. This has the malty flavor described, but that hoppiness comes in quickly to complement it. SamGamgee (1435), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Red color with some brown and then lighter orange as well; lasting off-white head. Spicy hops and crystal malt in the aroma with a backing grapefruit edge. The flavor has some sweet crystal malt with a bitter, citrus finish that lingers on the tongue. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. At first, the crystal malt annoyed me, but it smoothed out and the hops took over more as I got through the beer. Nothing bad going on, but the hops and malt seem to clash a little more than they really balance each other, like this just needs to be tuned a little more. Rciesla (3617), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Bitter and mango to grapefruity hops finish with a nice bitterness and remaining sweet finish. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2009 bottle. Sampled with IM’s Rock in Rio blasting, hence perceptions might be altered.
Pours a nice medium copper/amber color, clear, nice foamy inch of head that takes plenty of time to clear. Nose is loads of sticky-sweet caramel malt. Mostly. Some light floral hop presence in the background, with only faint hints of bitterness. Flavor... kinda falls flat. Thin caramel sweetness and light floral hop notes. Not much going on in the flavor department, to be honest. Not bad, but not enough there to really be "good". Palate is smooth and clean, if a bit on the thin side. Meh. Overall, not a bad beer- but also never makes it to being a good beer, either. zapprentice (310), East Setauket, New York, USA
