Jul 25, 2009 From tap at the brewery. Pours hazy dark orange with a small tan head. Rum and rye aroma,light fruity overripe note. Rye malt flavoured with a light rum note coming through. Roasted malty and mild sweet fruity finish.

Jul 16, 2009 Draught at the brewery during RBSG09. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Spicy rye bread aroma. The flavor is malty and sweet with spicy rye, some chocolate, lower bitterness and light citric hop flavor. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. The spicy and chocolate notes are a great combo.

Jul 13, 2009 RBSG09 on tap at the brewery. Dark brownish amber color with a thick lacy ecru head. Aroma is milk chocolate and rye bread crusts. Flavor is creamy brown malts and chocolate with a light rye spiciness. Excellent balance, just enough sweetness. Seems to get better as it breathes a bit. Huge drinkability for the 8% abv.
