| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Draught at the brewery during RBSG09. A bit of a shocker actually; a blond ale at under 4% that actually has plenty of flavor, with a nice hop nose. There is hope for american brewers yet. Poured a blond color with a small head. Fruity hoppy aroma of apricot, peaches and then some straw. The flavor has a light clean malt base, and then finishes dry with fruity hops in the finish but modest bitterness that balances the lighter malt well. Light bodied and crisp, but plenty of texture for a beer this strong. The overall balance is just right. larryLSB (150), La Selva Beach, California, USA

Pours light orange-gold with a frothy off white head. Aromas of cereal grain with mild C-hops. Cheerios maltiness, mild grapefruity hops, slight resinous bitterness. Pretty drinkable and dry. Well balanced and refreshing, but I got tired of the Cheerios note pretty quickly.
