presense.   Citrus peel like bitterness up front, with a malt background that is far to light for my tastes.   Clean, decent little
bit, but seems a touch undermalted.   Maybe I am a malt whore?   Certainly clean, but to me this is a pale Pale Ale.   Light,
very mild sweetness on the finish.   Body and mouthfeel are fairly moderate.   Yeah, definitely a pale Pale Ale.   Wished it was
a bit more robust, but still enjoyable.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2007 12 oz bottle. Foggy yellow brown with a slight, white head. Buttery orange and brown sugar. Taste is muted citrus and Red Rose tea with an herbal note that reminds me of tarragon. Medium carb, medium light. Mild drying; some lemon pith in the end. BeerBelcher (943), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2007 I thought this beer was a rather marginal APA, exhibiting a very thin mouthfeel, a lack of aroma, and flavor that was more malty than hoppy. I would not recommend it.
This beer exhibited a pinkish amber color, much like the Speakeasy Double Daddy DIPA, which I found interesting. Does "watery" have a smell? I ask, because I could tell from the aroma of this beer that it was going to be much too thin for an APA (at least for my tastes). Flavor was extremely malty and not very balanced. Mouthfeel was rather watery. Not recommended. CaptainCougar (5517), Rockville, Maryland, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Pours a lighter amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, citrus hops, pine hops, and some sweet malts. Flavor is decently balanced with the citrus and pine up front giving way to the caramel and sweet malts. Has a somewhat bitter finish, but not too strong. Flavor lingers for just a little while. Pretty good but not my favorite APA. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Golden pour with nice fat white head and good lacing. Nose of malts and floral hops. Mouthfeel clean and carbonation just right. Flavor is malts and lots of hops. This brewer seems to use hops well. Good APA.
