It’s got a nutty caramel aroma overlaid with orange and lemon hop scents. The flavor is an atrfully blended combination of the malt and hop tastes. Having a mildly bitter aftertaste, this is a refreshing ale well suited for session work. GregClow (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Citric hop nose with lots of lemon and grapefruit. Good mouthfeel, nice level of carbonation. Flavour is well-hopped, with grapefruit in the middle and a herbal tea finish. A bit more malt to balance things out a bit would be nice, but it’s still quite respectable. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours beautifully, nicely carbonated, great colour. Didn’t have the problem of too much foam like some of the other posters mentioned. I was quite pleasantly surprised with this beer, nice and hoppy. Loved it, another great American Pale Ale. I hope to get more in the future. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2005 Updated: Aug 15, 2005Bottle (12oz). Gold/amber colour, nose of sharp hop & citrus. Quite carbonated, a little cloudy at the end of the pour, no sediment in my bottle. Light lacy head with small bubbles. I’m not a hop-head, but this one is fairly balanced - medium hop, fruitiness, only slightly bitter linger. Not up to Stone quality, but drinkable, didn’t scare me off with its hops, so not that strong. I didn’t get much malt, though. Pretty average. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 25, 2005 Fruity, citric aroma, full of lemon with touches of hay and a mild grainy sweetness. Hazy light golden amber color, sedimented, and this one was a foamer -- took 10 minutes to pour. No comment on the head and lacing, except to say that there’s too much of both. Flavor profile is fruity, light, citric and hoppy, light-medium bitterness throughout, with hints of pale malt sweetness here and there. Finish is juicy and quenching with a small amount of yeast character. Effervescence is plentiful and creamy, body is light. Just ok. rudolf (1782), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2005 this beer isn’t bad, but some of Speakeasy’s beers are much better. The aroma is good, but the flavor seems to be a little short. It seems like it is going to be good and then it just dies. It is kind of bitter at first and then just ends. Still not a bad beer, just not a real good beer
