Light body with a medium florally hoppy flavor, maybe a hint of spice in the finish. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 5, 2005 Nice thin off white head. Light orange colored body is slightly cloudy. Aroma of maple, bread and some lemons. The taste is grassy along with soem pepper in the finish. A nice touch of grapefruit. A solid, but unspectacular APA. joshpiledean (228), Ames, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Pours a nice rich crystal clear gold, with a medium chunky white head, a fair amount of carbonation fizzes up. Aroma is nice floral bittering hops, nice and light. Very nice balance of light malt and flowery hops. A little light on the body, but very drinkable, and not overpowering by any means. This golden pale ale smells frech and hoppy - floral. Taste is mostly bready sweet malts with a pleasant hop finish. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2004 Slightly hazy blonde coloured body with orange tints and a thinnish white head. Aroma of fresh hops, oranges, grapefruits, slight pine and a herbal freshness. Light-bodied; Mild hoppiness that dominates the nose more than the mouth, mellow maltiness that seems a little too thin all with a floral freshness and soft finish. Overall, a little too weak of an APA in my mind, but definitely a nice alternative to such a big beer that you might find from the ever-so-popular imperial ipas, such as Double Daddy! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 06-December-2004. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2004 Bottle. Pours gold with a decent head. Very piney aroma--like stickin your nose in a conifer. Interesting bready flavor, not much hoppiness. Not terrible. hershiser2 (923), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2004 $1.99 for a 12-oz single...light golden, hint of amber, large head. Nice aroma of grapefruit and pine, but also a bit of maltiness in there. Flavor is full of roasted malts, with hints of hops and nuts. Decent, but doesn’t quite meet my expectations.
