| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Very nice hoppy citrusy, American Pale ale. Looked good out of the bottle, tasted good also. Untouchable is very touchable and a great beer. Another one I’d tell you to try if you haven’t. FlacoAlto (2473), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Pours a clear copper color, topped by a creamy off white head. Aroma is dominated by American hop notes; grapefruit, lychee, a sharp herbalness. The aromas is quite nice. The taste is not as hoppy as the aroma suggests, and there are some interesting malt notes that I can’t quite place after my first sip. The taste is sharp up front from the hops, and there is an herbal-grassy quality to it. The finish is bitter with a lingering quality to it. The finish also has a dry biscuit malt character to it. As the beer warms up the biscuit notes pick up and it develops a lightly toasted malt flavor in the front. A fairly decent pale ale, I wish that it had lived up to its aroma though. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 10, 2004 Nice floral light hoppy aroma. Has a nice honey golden color. Body is mundane but the hop character is there. A little thin. The finish is covered nicely with a slight hop bitterness. In the end a decent pale. Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2004 I’m starting to think the APA is the most boring beer style gracing the craft beer scene. There’s got to be an APA recipe somewhere that at least 25% of craft brewers rely on. Or, perhaps the situation is akin to "store-brand" goods- all of this crap is brewed by one company but it is distributed with different labels. In any event, this is just a typical, boring APA with piney/floral hops countering a light bready malt base. Thin-bodied and boring. This might be the first style I "abandon" except for highly rated examples. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2004 This starts with a huge head and a wonderful clean hop aroma. The color is golden honey yellow. Just slightly bitter from start to finish. Nice APA. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2004 Clear light-amber body with a stiff white head that leaves ample lacing. Delectable aroma, features a wet citrusy hops with a small caramel-sweetness underneath. The flavor moves away from the bursting hop flavors and focuses on dry grassy flavors and citrus rind. Not terribly sweet either. This is a good pale if you like ’em dry. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2004 Decent brew. Pours golden with a nice head. Aroma is grapefruity. Taste is clean, citrusy, hoppy but light. Mouthfeel is lacking, a little watery. Has an APA bitter aftertaste. This brew could use a little more malt, hops and flavor. It's not bad by any means, but lacking in certain areas.
