| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Nice golden pour with a decent head and some lacing. The aroma is that of floral and piney hops with some sweet-ish biscuity and husky malts. The flavor is definitely malty up front with notes of husky sweetness. This is followed by a nice mix of piney/floral hops. Not bitter, but quenching and pretty nice to drink. scrizzz (1327), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Slight haze to the golden color, sticky white head and very good lacing. Dusty dry aroma, and very full. Very malt forward, weighted in its fullness, some notes of citrus and alder. Transports me to summer. Hops cut through at the very end to finish very refreshing and very impressive. illidurit (896), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Nose: Right off the bat I get walloped with that crystal malt iced tea aroma. Not a good start. Once I get past that I detect some slight underripe tangerine and a faint herbal character.
Mouth: This is really weak. Tastes like crystal malt and biscuits. Hardly any hoppiness. Maybe a whisper of grass and orange seeds. Bitterness is so feeble I barely even notice it. Mouthfeel is fine but I don’t get any joy out of drinking this beer. Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA

Aroma is slightly pnw hop forward, caramel sweet, with great balance. Appearance is clear gold with a medium maintained white head . Flavor is very well balanced and somewhat blended between floral & moderate bittering characteristics, but flora forward. Mouthfeel is medium/low bodied with a medium/high carb texture. Overall, simple in it’s presentation, but the balancing makes this above average. KimJohansen (7142), Copenhagen V, Denmark

The last several reviews complain of a lack of hops...not every American Pale Ale tastes like an IPA or double IPA... DrHomolka (731), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2008 12oz bottle via trade bonus from Sparky27. Thanks. Pours a hazy yellow with a small bright white head with fat bubbles and good retention. Impressive lacing. Aroma shows toasty grains, subtle hops, a graininess, cereal. A standard, recognizable Pale Ale aroma. Some more hops would be nice. Taste is very clean, light and smooth with a subtle finish of graininess. Lightly malty with pretty much no hop flavor and very low bitterness. A smooth drinking beer but I wish it packed a bit more of a punch.
