Ok! what’s with the acorn on the label? I see from rauchbeirs rate that eikel is Dutch for acorn, but this doesn’t taste even slightly of nuts, ok, I’ve yet to try acorns, but I cant imagine they taste like this. Very pale in colour, slightly hazy, with a thin white head. The nose is SO fresh and zesty, clean and appealing. WOW! that is a lot of citrus fruit acidity, again clean and zesty, gooseberries? perhaps...acorns? I dont think so! A bit of an assualt on the tastebuds to begin with, but after a few mouthfuls, it’s a delicious fruity beer, no hint of sweetness, and very refreshing. A pressie from Amsterdam.

Bottled - trade with Otje - thanks! A slightly hazy orange coloured beer with alittle tan coloured head. The aroma is fruity, seems a bit yoghurty and resembles strawbeeries and cream. The taste is also fruity but there’s some nuttiness or caramel in there also, and maybe a dusting of chocolate. Sweet and moussey. Nice flavours.

Bottle. Quite nice, and a little different. Nutty sweetness to start, with some light tart berries, and a leafy/herbal finish, not bad at all. Sweetish. Original.

Herby aroma. Nutty sweet malt start with a very herbacious fruity finish. Interesting but nothing special.
