Pours clear neon-yellow with small floaties. A nice, creamy white head on top. Aroma is sweet, lemony, oranges, apples and a light doughy tone to the malts. Fine, light mouthfeel. Flavour is softly fruity, good sweet maltiness and apple notes again. Fine, powerful, citric bitterness at the end. Very drinkable.
TrefwoordPunk (358), Leiden, Netherlands Jan 11, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head and an intense grainy aroma with citric notes. The flavor is grainy with some notes of roasted grain. There are lots of different notes in here, biscuits, caramel, mocca, citrus, ripe fruits and spices. The finish is roasty at first, becomes sweet like ripe peaches and then turns on to more hoppy bitterness. I love this brew! martinboer (1297), Amsterdam, Netherlands Nov 16, 2007 Bottle from Bierkoning. Nice peachy colour. Slight head. Nose of oranges and citrus. Taste also fruity. Hoppy. Nicely carbonated. Not sure what spelt tastes like but a pleasant tasting beer. Quite spicy in the finish. Really good, actually. HenrikSoegaard (2901), Randers, Denmark Nov 5, 2007 Bottle. Nice suprise. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Orange colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Orange notes. Nice well-balanced powerfull bitter flavor. Average nice finish. Oily palate. Good stuf. Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 21, 2007 Cloudy dull yellow, immediately fading head despite the active carbonation is a sad sight. Little aroma really. A certain graininess is felt, but not much more. In mouth, the focus is totally and only on cereals and spelt of course. Still, the focus is really well pulled. Even though there are pretty much no other flavours, those feel quite sufficient, hay-like, strawy and pleasantly simple.
