Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 14, 2005 [Cask at GBBF 2004] An opaque brown beer with a small disappearing chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted combined with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted - but quite weak - and on a sour background. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Aug 15, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Deep brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts and some mild smoked notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some hay, raisins and mild coffee. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jul 3, 2007 Cask@Ealing BF. Nice and flavoursome strong stout. This had a nice dusty, soft mouthfeel, with some coffee and choacolate flavours coming through. The finish is dry and slightly bitter/roasty, very nice. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 17, 2007 Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Black/very dark brown with lasting dark beige head. Rather a nice roasted fruity aroma. That’s a good beer. Lovely powdery/grainy mouthfeel. Very good and I loved it. Easy drinking for a 6% beer. Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Apr 3, 2004 [Cask conditioned] Dark brown coloured. Loads of chocolate in the aroma and in the flavour. Notes of malts and coffee. Different and funny.
