[Cask at GBBF 2004] An opaque brown beer with a small disappearing chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted combined with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted - but quite weak - and on a sour background.

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts and some mild smoked notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some hay, raisins and mild coffee.

Cask@Ealing BF. Nice and flavoursome strong stout. This had a nice dusty, soft mouthfeel, with some coffee and choacolate flavours coming through. The finish is dry and slightly bitter/roasty, very nice.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Black/very dark brown with lasting dark beige head. Rather a nice roasted fruity aroma. That’s a good beer. Lovely powdery/grainy mouthfeel. Very good and I loved it. Easy drinking for a 6% beer.

[Cask conditioned] Dark brown coloured. Loads of chocolate in the aroma and in the flavour. Notes of malts and coffee. Different and funny.
