Aroma of slightly dark esters forward, followed by strong malt, fruit, alcohol phenols, plastics and sourness. Appearance is very dark brown with an off white head. Flavor is esters forward with low bittering hops, plasticy phenols with sourness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with very low texture. Overall, just plain funky; needs work to be a worthwhile experiment. Oakes (8108), gone rambling, Cambodia

Assertive toastiness and nuts with a subtle citrusy backdrop and hints of wood & earthiness. A bit thin but an interesting package. I like the way each of these dark IPAs shows me something a little different. I’d like more sugars to bring it all together on this one. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

A deep dark brown color with a thin head. This had a slight hops aroma for an IPA. This did have a malty aroma which was odd. The dark malts used where very good and the Hops where present but I felt like it was a imperial Stout or somehting like that. It was deep and dark but the flavor was rather light. Need more flavoring hops and less dark malts. Intresting beer. eregular (2), USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 12, 2007 This beer is super yummy!!
