Aug 11, 2009 Lots of hops in the nose of this one. Mostly citrus and floral notes. Some light underlying malt notes are there as well, but this one was very hop forward. Pours golden with a nice bubbly head and some lace. Nice and hoppy. Grapefruit, floral notes. Resiny and with a medium/high bitterness level, not astringent with a decent amount of pale malt sweetness backing the hop assault. Long lingering hop bite. Well done. A nice IPA in the West Coast sense, taking somewhat of a clue from San Diego, this one is a little more assertive than your traditional, and occasionally somewhat boring NW IPA.

Aroma: Big IPA aroma. Tons of hops and a good malt backing.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: The malt was a good balance with the hops. The added hops where strong and tasty. Big grapefruit flavor with this beer.
Palate: Dry finish, with a Good IPA Mouthfeel.
Overall: This is a very nice IPA.
