Some light underlying malt notes are there as well, but this one was very hop forward. Pours golden with a nice bubbly head and some lace. Nice and hoppy. Grapefruit, floral notes. Resiny and with a medium/high bitterness level, not astringent with a decent amount of pale malt sweetness backing the hop assault. Long lingering hop bite. Well done. A nice IPA in the West Coast sense, taking somewhat of a clue from San Diego, this one is a little more assertive than your traditional, and occasionally somewhat boring NW IPA. Aroma: Big IPA aroma. Tons of hops and a good malt backing.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: The malt was a good balance with the hops. The added hops where strong and tasty. Big grapefruit flavor with this beer.
Palate: Dry finish, with a Good IPA Mouthfeel.
Overall: This is a very nice IPA.
