Spinnakers Basil IPA

(Cask) Sampled at Spinnakers on February 18, 2009, as part of their Recession Ale Series. Pours a lasting frothy yellowish head atop a rather carbonated, orange body. Nose of pine hops. Flavour of tart hops, lasting bitterness through the finish. I have got to say that there isn’t much here to detect, its likely based on their regular IPA mainstay but there is not much in the way of basil. Also, I thought I found Centennial hops - though I’ve been told its Noble hops. Anyhow, its a nice beer. 7/3/7/3/14
