harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 10, 2006 On tap at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Cloudy dark amber colour with lasting beige head. Lovely, banana bubblegum and choc aroma. Very choccy malts in mouth, creamy lemon/choc smokey finish. Bit of charcoal, creamy dunkel, lots of choc, bit of bitter choc on end. Should be crisper for me. CapFlu (3254), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 20, 2006 (Draught) Pint. Sampled at the brewpub alongside the brewmaster Lon. Pours a reddish-deep copper body beneath a frothy, thin oyster head. Fig, malt nose with some wet wheat, banana peel and raspberry seed. Tast front, somewhat honeydew rind? Personally too thin and creamy yet has a nice oily finish. I prefer Steamworks RoggenWeizen on draught or Schneider Aventinus in the bottle. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 10, 2006 Brown with a nice frothy tan head. Aroma is wheat, bread, grains and some fruit. Flavour is wheaty with some dark malt and slightly sweet. Somewhat creamy and quite full bodied, Finishes with some nice hoppiness. Well made. DougShoemaker (2560), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2002 My neighbours Jean and Jaan, were kind enough to let me enjoy this beer the other night. It had been cellared for 2 years. Malt and treacle aroma. Ruby colour, with a lovely vanilla head, and a few floaties. Wonderful malt, nuts, fruit, toffee and caramel flavours. Very smooth, rich texture. Fabulous aftertaste, leaves me wanting more. Exceptional!
