It’s the usual common Lager, dry mouthfeel but maybe a bit maltier than the average. Ordinary Lager, but "Three Hops" is a quite presumptuous name for this beer. jannek (9), Vantaa, Finland does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Bottle 66 cl. The good part is that there actually is a dash of hop aroma in this one. Otherwise it is a rather thin and bland lager. I even find the aroma and aftertaste a bit alcoholic, and for a 4,5 % beer it means there is not much else. Doggythedog (1601), Split, Croatia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Bottle from Andora, shared with heavy. Poured a big thick white head that didn’t last long. Light eggy nose, extremely light flowery notes too. Empty taste, thin maltiness, bit dry and grainy. Hops? Hah, maybe some really light presence in the aftertaste. As are most of these lagers, drinkable but crap. Still not convinced that this is different from the old one, despite the new/old recipe talk and the name. heavy (873), Split, Croatia
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Oct 17, 2009 11/10 0.66 l bottle from a shop in Andora, Liguria. It poured golden body with medium sized head that went down soon. A bit winy aroma, also corn sourish. Flavor was also quite average and boring, watery with corn popping up. Some slight bitterness though, but if they wanted to put 3 hops, they shouldn’t put one flower of each in a whole big barrel, as Doggythedog said :) Very thin bodied without any prominent finish. </br>
Now, needed to have this side by side with the regular Splügen to see how different they are, but according to my ratings 2 yrs ago, that one was better. Dorqui (1365), Brescia, Italy

Yellow gaunt color, much simple one and with evanescent and little long-lasting head. A lot gaut and inconsistent scent; light notes of cereals and maize. Watery taste, even if pleasantly stinging, crisp and wondering bitter content at the end. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Small white head over pale golden, clear beer. Cuscusnose, grains, but some dried, dusty hops as well. Metallic, faintly grassy malts, empty. Very watery palate and ditto body. "Ai tre luppoli"? - I see, they’ve added three hopcones. On a zillion hectolitres brew... trapez (842), Hilleroed, Denmark
