Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

Pours with an orange-gold body with little head and no lacing. It’s sweet with notes of cany sugar as well as a strong note of grass...not much else. Light bodied, oiley and smooth.

The vibrant aroma of bananas and vanilla jumped right at me as I poured the golden red ale into my 50cl glass. The first taste of the creamy head was seriously malty in a medium body that just kept me coming back for more. Like the others said, it’s remarkably smooth and I’ll bet it is killer on tap. I think this is one of the stronger bodied tripels I have had in recent memory.

Pours with a white, two-finger head that goes quickly and leaves some lace. Light to medium carbonation. Clear golden amber color. Nose is sweet and fruity. Light to medium bodied. Starts and finishes smooth, flavor is tart raisins, the high ABV is not noticeable. $1.95 ($5.45 for a 22oz) for a 16oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA.

16oz bottle-A murky orange body with no head. Aroma of citrus and slight malt. Taste of wheat, a little sourness, and a somewhat resemblance of a Tripel on the very back end but not much. Really disappointing beer from Sprecher. I was expecting a lot more.

Aromas of sweat, horse, grapes. Pours a cloudy dark yellow. Medicinal and cough syrup notes in the body. Bitter rubber band/battery acid finish.

Aroma of some wheat and light fruit. Pours golden orange with no head. Flavor is rather bland with noticable wheat, some sour/bitter notes that never really rounded themselves out, and some bland fruity sweetness. Moderatley carbonted and medium bodied. Boring!

Clear golden with thin white head. Aroma is malty with a bit of wet dog. Taste is dry and biscuity, but carbonation is reasonable. $1.75/12oz

Bottle: Pours copper, with a short lived head. The aroma is simple; musty, sweet, pruney hints, and an herbal hint. The flavor is sweet. Has a pruney suggestion as well, and has an obvious alcohol presence. There isn’t enough bitterness. It isn’t all together offensive, but it just lacks character completely. Sprecher should stick to German style brews.
