| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 16oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper with little head. Aroma is dominated by both caramel and hoppy notes of citrus, producing an extremely sweet bouquet. Taste is medium-bodied and flat, with opening notes of caramel giving way to a more tart finish of fruit, spices, and a somewhat noticeable alcoholic kick. An excellent dessert beer with a good balance of sweetness and complexity. Elizavyeta (110), Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2007 A delightfully cloudy pour, this triple appears to be almost a cider upon first inspection - apples and fermentation give it a heady aroma. However, upon tasting this delight notes of caramel, clove, cinnamon, and, yes, apple come through clearly. While a bit fruitier than most triples I’ve encountered, it was still a nice after-dinner treat.
Would pair exceptionally well with ice cream; for cheese, a nice washed rind like pont l’eveque or tallegio. tjthresh (1779), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Pours a murky light copper orange. An aggressive pour produced no head. Lots of honey character, along with a bit of alcohol in the nose. Really smells like a mead. Flavors of bubble gum, honey, tanins, and lots of alcohol. Really kind of rough. The carbonation is like sandpaper. Dry finish. Not really all that good at all. DenverLogan (421), MileHi, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Copper, orange; small head. Subtle aroma of malt and honey. Significant carbonation, a tiny beit hot in alcohol but also some orange, prune, black pepper, honey, and other tasty fruit and malt notes. Slightly lingering sweet, bitter and tingy finish. Very subtle bubblegum and wood. This bottle is the new series, different than the white label in the Ratebeer photo, this has gold wax and a little label saying the beer is ageable. All in all it’s tasty though a tad cloyingly sweet, so, good to share a bottle rather than drink a whole one alone. BOBANDDOUG (61), Belleville, Illinois, USA

Smells of an apple orchard.
Tastes of fruit, yeast and bit of cinnamon.
Finishes a bit harsh, almost like a shot of hard stuff.
Good beer.
