Commercial Description:
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

Pours a heavy gold color, sweet aroma of caramel and bubblegum. Not a bad beer, but a bit too sweet and syrupy, not enough esters or hop to balance it. Not giving it very many style points for certain.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a one finger short lived head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of light fruit, light caramel, and yeast. Taste is the same as aroma with some cereal grain and a mild spicy earthy character. Very thin body for a Triple with a mild amount of bitterness. Decent.

22 ounce bottle. Tulip glass. Orange/Amber with a thin head, which is common for Sprecher for some reason. Aroma was light sweet and buttery with some fruit and yeast. Taste was sweet and sugary and a bit subdued. Notes of butterscotch and caramel with a hint of apricot. There are a lot better tripels out there.

Pours an amber colour with a small fizzy, quickly disipating head. I think they were trying to achieve a fruity, spicy aroma, but they failed miserably. The aroma is of pickled vegatables (carrots and onions), very offensive spices and a sub-par yeast character. The flavours, which weren’t good, were poorly supported by the beer’s thin body. These included spices that clashed havily with the selected yeast, some wheat flavours, honey, and a bouqet of vegatables, not fruit. The alcohol is hidden far worse than other tripples with higher abv’s. This is the worst tripple I’ve ever encountered.

16oz 4 banger. color is a very attractive deeply hazed orange shade. the head however is not as good looking, off-white thin and poorly retained. aroma is nice sweet yeasty a little spicy with some dry beadiness. unfortunately it is unbalanced. the initial decent belgian flavor is malty crisp and sweet, the hops are a little citrusy but a lot spicy and the 8.4% alcohol is too pronounced. could be better.

Pours a amber colour with a small white head. The aroma begins with a slight plasticy overlay with a distinct and unusual yeast and spices. Initial taste is sweet and slight spice. Honey overlays the palate with the beginning to end finish. Medium Body but palate is short and unpleasing.

This beer had a nice golden color with a good head that lasted a while. There was a unique earthy and spicy smell to it. As you drink it there was a mild tart flavor that left a nice lasting impression on the palate. the booze is not hidden as well in this abbey triple.

16 oz. bottle. new label ...as it is very much the same flavor as last btl... pours a rich straw yellow color with an appropriate white, somewhat low frothy head. Aroma of subtle lite sugar, and banana. Starts refreshingly sweet. undertones of sweet nectar and lends its way to the faint pepper and crisp dry smooth finisshhh.....was lucky to get a well package and fresh product...
